[March] O' Glorious Weeklybeat

By Mortistar on January 21, 2024 5:21 pm

Heyo!

Going fully into the deep end this week. When I hit a classical music genre I knew I was in for the long haul, but wow I forgot just how long it takes to arrange not only a full orchestral score, but also set up all of the articulation keyswitches for each instrument. They're doing a lot of heavy lifting,

I'm pretty proud of my first attempt at an American-Styled Marching Band tune! Definitely one of the wilder genres I've ever composed/produced. Hope you enjoy listening!

STAY COOL big_smile

Praise be thy Weeklybeats!

Awesome composition!  Nothin' like a little "Om-pa" march. Makes me want to watch old Monty Python's Flying Circus episodes.

"... I forgot just how long it takes to ... set up all of the articulation keyswitches for each instrument"

100% why most media composers and the like have a hand full of templates that they go to for 99% of their work... It takes DAYS to build out a full orchestral template.  So much respect, everything sounds very natural.

This track is giving me serious Rune Factory festival day flashbacks. big_smile If there's ever an in-person WeeklyBeats festival, they need to play this at the entrance to the venue. Fantastic job on the composition, the arrangement, the mix, everything!

This is awesome!! Great job! Sounds like an actual band playing!

Wow, the orchestration is solid! Cool march smile

I keep staring at my screen waiting for the Monty Python logo to show up

Impressive!

Let this be unto us the national anthem of WeeklyBeats, glory in all its beats

I am gobsmacked. Holy cats.

I did NOT have fruity loops marching band tune on my WB bingo card this month, you nailed the sound

I've just about listened to every single week 3 submission, and this legit shocked me. Soo cool!

This is absolutely glorious!!! Wonderful job!!! The marching band feels so happy, hahahaha...

Lmao! Amazing.
